A very well made movie intertwining five different stories - in the buildup and aftermath of the Mumbai train blasts.
The director has chosen very interesting premises instead of regular-joe characters - a policeman about to retire in seven days, a environmentally conscious corporate warrior who chooses to travel by train instead of a car, a rising TV reporter, a bottom-of-the-pyramid coffee seller and a muslim-hating out-of-work youth.
Needless to say each of them are impacted by the blasts - but the director has very cleverly varied the WAY each of the characters has been affected. And his take on the ridiculousness of news channels provides a welcome humorous break
In the end, all the different stories' come together meaningfully and when it finished, the audience decided to give it a big ovation - but I dont agree. I think its a good movie - there is nothing obviously wrong about it, but then there is nothing that makes it a great or a memorable one either. I felt that emotional impact was missing - like its soul wasnt strong enough ...
